• you@web is based on Lotus Notes/Domino. Because web content can be maintained via the browser, at least one Domino server has to be set up.
  
  
• The Domino replication mechanisms allow for a split of the production and publication servers.
  
  
• When a decentralized organization uses an intranet it makes sense to create replicas of the you@web databases on the local Notes servers of the branch offices. This enabes a "local access" that disburdens the wide area connections and usually improves performance.

Minimum Requirements for Domino Servers

• Lotus Domino 6.0.1 / 6.5.1 / 7.0 or higher. you@web runs on all established operating systems (Microsoft, Suse, AIX, Solaris, OS400). If you use a different operating system we are glad to provide information individually.

Minimum Requirements for Author Workplaces

• When using the Notes Client you need Notes ver. 5.08 onward, we recommend 5.0.11 or higher. Suitable browsers are Internet Explorer from 5.5 SP2 onward, Mozilla ver. 1.4 or higher, Firefox beginning with ver 1.0, and Netscape 7.1. or higher. Some add-on modules might lead to additional requirements.
