Version Management

Folder structures simplify the management of document versions and support multilingualism.

Figure: An example of a content subfolder with documents in different status

Authors maintain documents intended for the web in individual folders. All versions of this document will always remain in this folder are can therefore be maintained easily.

In the adjacent figure we have provided an example. The folder contains one document in "work in progess" status (1), two published documents (2 and 3) as well as an archived version (4). When the author publishes a new version, the document that has been cleared before is automatically moved into the archive. There it remains, making it possible to keep track of all changes and enabling the author to restore the older version or re-use parts of it if the need arises.

Documents in different languages (2 and 3) are also stored in the same folder and therefore safeguard a consistent structure of multi-lingual websites.
